On the afternoon of July 2, Deputy Secretary of Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee and Shenzhen Mayor Xu Qin listened attentively to the reports on the construction progress of the Universiade security and safeguard system and the information system. City leaders Wang Suiming, Lu Ruifeng, Yuan Baocheng, Liang Daoxing, Li Ping, Huang Guoqiang and Gao Guohui also attended the meeting.
Leaders of respective departments like Shenzhen Public Security Bureau, Shenzhen Discipline Inspection Commission, Shenzhen Auditing Bureau, the government procurement center, and the Universiade Executive Office respectively briefed their progress on the Universiade security and safeguard system and the information system, as well as audit supervision work. Hearing their reports, Xu Qin fully affirmed their work and achievements on the security and safeguard system and the information system, and he also asked relative departments to make good use of their resources to prepare for the coming Universiade, following the principle of holding a frugal Universiade. Besides, he demanded that every section should strengthen links with each other, work together, and speed up the Universiade preparations, so as to ensure the completion of both systems’ construction before the test games of the 2011 Universiade summer session.
