– We are all delighted with Belgrade, and especially with University Village. Our accommodation is excellent and we are all very satisfied. We are facing some serious competition, among which is the Serbian football team. I know that Serbs love sport and that you guys are good footballers, therefore I am sure that the stands will be full when we play.

Martin Roberts, the chief of the Australian delegation is very happy with accommodation provided for his athletes.

– The trip to Serbia was no easy matter. It took us over 27 hours to get here. However, we are now in Belgrade and everything is fine. We got our accreditations in next to no time; we were taken to our rooms almost immediately. It was fantastic. As regards our participation in the Universiade, we of course, hope to achieve good results – said Roberts.

Kondo Tomohiko, the official representative of the Japanese delegation is very busy. His job is to finalize all preparations for the arrival of the Japanese delegation.

– This is a great honor for me to be in Serbia. I have been to many Universiades in the past, but I have never before been in such a beautiful complex as the University Village. Our athletes will be delighted. It is an honor for me to be the part of such a big sports event – stated Tomohiko.

Japanese are well known for the fact that they leave nothing to chance. They brought to Belgrade their own office furniture and food.

– That is the usual procedure for big sports events. However, I have to admit that food in University Village is excellent. Serbian food is great.
