VIII. The Intellectual Property Rights of the Mascot Design Scheme and Its Usage
8.1 The participants shall sign the Intellectual Property Rights Transference Commitment Letter. After the date of signing the attached Intellectual Property Rights Transference Commitment Letter, the participants transfer one-off and irrevocably to the Executive Board all the intellectual property rights of the works and the entire rights of the graphic or tridimensional display of the mascot design schemes.
8.2 The determinate mascot will be the Universiade mascot. The Executive Board is entitled to decide or permit the use of it by any other party in the following scope, including but not limited to:
(1) During the Universiade, to be used in the propaganda organized by the Executive Board, the propaganda materials made by the Executive Board, relevant propaganda places and the Universiade city sight design, and all cultural & educational activities and volunteers’ activities related to the Universiade;
(2) To be used by FISU, FUSC, and hosts of the Universiade in all countries in their publishing materials, and to be displayed in global media via making, printing or TV broadcasting;
(3) To be used in the market development by the sponsors of the Universiade;
(4) During the Universiade, to be used in broadcasting or propaganda carried out by the owner of the broadcasting rights, relevant market publicity, and the commercial activities and licensed activities launched by the Executive Board.
