Though there are still four years to go the volunteers for the 26th Universiade are already being prepared for the coming event.
Since the 26th Universiade is very important the volunteers are being well-trained Zhang Wen the secretary of the Shenzhen youth league told the reporter. The volunteers are expected to be more professional and able to communicate in English. “We would like to let the whole world know more about Shenzhen know more about Shenzhen’s volunteers” Zhang said.
Not only the volunteers in Shenzhen started to prepare Hong Kong’s Universities like HKU HKUST CityU and PolyU said they would like to support Shenzhen with experienced and qualified volunteers when necessary. Shenzhen University and Shenzhen Polytechnic have organized forums on the success of Shenzhen’s bid for the Universiade. Students are very enthusiastic to be members of the volunteers.
Fu’an School which is only one wall away from the Universiade stadium has prepared 500 student volunteers for the 26th Universide. Now these kids are only pupils but 4 years later they will become junior high school students and can do many benefit works for the Universiade. Thus Fu’an School divided the kids into five groups including Asia Europe Africa America and Oceania through which the pupils can learn about culture and custom of their guest-to-serve specifically.(马晓峰译)
