BERLIN, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) — Winning bid to host 2011 women’s World Cup has sparked joy among sports circles in Germany, and top figures voiced their delight on Tuesday after FIFA announced the result.
“We’re proud and grateful that FIFA have shown confidence in us again, giving us the chance to host another World Cup, five years after holding the men’s version,” said Theo Zwanziger, President of German Football Association.
