Dec 23, the Universiade Executive Office held a signing ceremony of the master Universiade food suppliers and supervisors & plaque – awarding ceremony of farm produce production bases, Kylin Villa. Vice President of the Universiade Executive Committee and Director-general of the Executive Office Liang Daoxing attended and addressed the ceremony, which was presided by the Deputy Director of the Universiade Executive Office Ke Gangming.
First, Liang Daoxing extended his gratitude to Shenzhen Jinguyuan Industry Development Limited Company, Beijing Beijing Huidejinli Investment Consulting Co., Ltd. and eight Universiade agricultural products Bases for their support to the Universiade. He said, the Universiade to be held in Shenzhen is another large – scale international sports meeting after the Beijing Olympics and Guangzhou Asian Games. As the Asian Games and Para Asian Games concluded, the Shenzhen Universiade has increasingly become a social focus. The Summer Universiade, which is next in scope to the Olympics, will welcome nearly 13,000 athletes and team officials from over 180 countries and regions in August next year. The large high – profile food service is not only a challenge to local food industry but also a chance for its development of standardization.
Shenzhen Jinguyuan Industry Development Limited Company, one of the “top ten catering enterprises” in Shenzhen food industry, used to get the titles of “Chinese demonstration enterprise of food safety” and “Shenzhen demonstration enterprise of food safety”, while Beijing Huidejinli Investment Consulting Co., Ltd. is the first professional company to provide catering service consultation and supervision for the organizing committees of large events in China. Both are industry leaders and both had been serving the Beijing Olympics and Guangzhou Asian Games, with general strength and rich working experience with large sports games. What’s more, the partnership agreement between Shenzhen Jinguyuan Industrial Development Co. and the Executive Office means the local catering enterprise has acquired the qualification to serve athletes at large international events for the first time, which is of great help to improve the catering industry.
Liang believed, those big boys are bound to provide integrated solutions to satisfy the needs of various diners at the Games. Furthermore, they are going to perform strict and professional supervisions and verifications on the food suppliers, so that all the athletes, coaches and officials coming to Shenzhen can have safe, nutritious and delicious meals.
Additionally, to ensure the food safety of primary agricultural products, according to the requirement of “from the farm – land to the dinning – table”, a quality control of the whole manufacturing procedure, the Executive Office chose the first batch of eight Universiade agricultural products bases which had been recommended by Shenzhen Agricultural Bureau and Fishery Bureau.
