Candidates of Universiade torch relay logo
On December 10, three candidate logos of the Universiade torch relay stood out from the rest.
As told, the Universiade Executive Office received altogether 34 logo designs submitted by famous designers and institutions both home and abroad. 5 entries among them were recommended by experts and 3 were selected by the Executive Office, as follows: “Passionate Flame”, with various colored dots running in one direction, is a passionate and lively flame. Dots represent the university athletes across the world, and connections between them imply the torch being passed on among students and athletes. “Joyful Fireball”, a vivacious and amiable U – shaped fireball, embodies university students’ youth and modern look.
“Chasing UU”, a bright flame transformed from the Universiade mascot “UU”, says youngsters’ dream and moves.
All the three logos showcase the spirits of Shenzhen, the young city, and express the Universiade notions of “friendship, fraternity, fairness, perseverance, integrity, collaboration and work hard”. Next, the Executive Office is going to choose the finalized torch relay logo from the three.
