Angolan women’s handball team left here on Thursday for Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to start its training program in three countries to prepare for the Beijing Olympic Games scheduled for Aug. 8 to 24.
According to its training program, the Angolan team, African handball team champion holder, will participate in four friendly games with squads of Brazil, Slovenia and Japan to sharp their skills to prepare for the Beijing Games.
As part of its program, the Angolan ladies will leave Brazil on July 12 for Slovenia and will end their training in Japan before traveling to China a few days before the Beijing Olympic Games starting on Aug. 8.
The Angolan national team has recently participated in an international competition in Denmark, also in the light of their preparation for the Olympic Games.
Members of the Angolan handball technical team, the physician, officials of the Angolan Handball Federation (FAA) and some administrative staff will also travel with the squad.
