FISU Secretary General Roch Campana has suggested that Shenzhen’s Universiade volunteers should master multiple languages like the volunteers at previous Universiades.
Speaking at an interview Saturday, he emphasized his confidence in Shenzhen’s ability to host the 2011 Universiade.
“Good housing facilities, dining rooms and sports facilities like swimming pools are very important,” said Campana.
In addition, he suggested that Shenzhen dispatch delegations of observers to the upcoming Bangkok Universiade and the Belgrade Universiade in 2009 to gain more experience.
Campana said for volunteers, English alone is far from enough. Spanish, Arabic, German and French are the other languages that should be mastered to ensure better services.
