Exhibition to remember late leader
Two residents look at a statue of late Chinese leader and chief architect of China’s economic reform Deng Xiaoping at the old location of the Shenzhen Museum on Tongde Road in Futian District yesterday.
A photo exhibition of Deng will be on display at the museum for a month from Sunday, the 106th anniversary of Deng’s birth. The exhibition of more than 400 photos and historic documents will reflect the life of Deng from childhood, leaving his hometown in Guang’an, Sichuan Province, to the establishment of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone (SEZ).
The exhibition illustrates his involvement in the establishment and development of the SEZ, which will celebrate the 30th anniversary of its establishment Aug. 26.
