V. The Appraisal Committee of the Contest
5.1 The Executive Board will set up an Appraisal Committee in the Design Contest to appraise the submitted works. The Executive Board possesses the final decision-making right for the constitution, number or personnel adjustment of the Appraisal Committee members.
5.2 The Appraisal Committee will appraise and select works for the final contest. The Executive Board has the right to decide the winning scheme among these selected works.
5.3 The Executive Board will hold relevant press conference and propaganda for the determinate Universiade mascot design scheme. The winning participant will be invited to the Universiade mascot release conference. All other participants can get to know the final result of the Design Contest via news.
VI. Appraisal Standards for the Mascot Design
The Appraisal Committee will appraise the works in accordance with the following points, and thus decide the works for the final contest:
6.1 Reflect the concept of the Universiade and embody the sports spirits of the Universiade;
6.2 Fully embody the youthful, energetic and modern features of Shenzhen;
6.3 Shall be original;
6.4 Be different from the mascot design of the previous Universiade, Olympics, and other domestic and foreign sports events and activities;
6.5 Should be identified by people of different cultural backgrounds, genders and ages;
6.6 Should be cute and fresh image, which can deeply impress people;
6.7 The innovative theory shall be coherent and convincible, and make the image alive and story-like;
6.8 Be flexible and fit for further commercial development.
