On the afternoon, July 25, the Executive Office organized outdoor expanding training for the first batch of leading volunteers, Bijiashan Park. Deputy Director-general Zhao Guanghua, Deputy Chief of Volunteer Department Cai yifang, and leaders of Education Bureau of Shenzhen was also at the park.
Zhao Guanghua expressed his gracious greeting and admiration to the volunteers being trained there, because they spent their weekends in joining the activity in such a hot day. He said, without groups of excellent volunteers, no Universiade would be a success. As the Universiade has entered the “Shenzhen time”, volunteers’ work will be more and more important, including how to upgrade volunteer’s service level and leave a very good impression to the athletes and guests from all over the world. He also encouraged the young volunteers to take an active part in various training so as to improve their comprehensive quality.
Nearly 500 volunteers on the traing spot were divied into five groups, taking “happy ‘UU’”, “opne ‘UU’” , “comprehensive ‘UU’” ,“youth ‘UU’” , and “future ‘UU’” as their names in the activity. After finish a variety of exciting group tasks, they made a composite shape the Universiade logo “Happy U”, with the help of all participants. Many voluntees said, it was this outdoor expanding training that made them know the importance of the team work, enhance their sense of team honor and as well, improve their abilities both in analyzing problems and solving problems.
