After 46 days’ hard trip, the Shenzhen Universiade cultural cycling team is going back home today. Capitain Lin Mingwei told the reporter yesterday evening, “We plan to set off at 6:30am, July 1, from Guangzhou and get to Shenzhen at noon.”
10pm, yesterday, leaving Conghua City, the 12 cyclists were going through Guangzhou city for Guangzhou University Town. Capitain Lin Mingwei said on phone, “When we are passing by the urban district, we receice a warm welcome from Guangzhou citizens, which makes the cyclists very excited. Later on, At 8 pm we hold the Shenzhen Universiade Cultural Forum at Zhongshan University, during which we exchange how we feel about the the tough cycling tour with 200 students of Zhongshan University. So far, all riders look good , although 10 young men and 2 young ladies feel a little bit tired.”
Early morning today, the cycling team can’t wait to leave for Shenzhen, their home. Lin Mingwei says, “It has been 50 days, a pretty long time, since we left home. We do miss Shenzhen. This afternoon, we are heading to Shenzhen University , and making a perfect sprint to the end of the unforgettable cycling tour.”
