July 3 local time, Belgrade, the Shenzhen exhibition hall inside the Universiade Village was filled with of various visitors. They were overseas athletes and coaches attending the games, volunteers serving the games, as well as the working staff of the Organizing Committee for the Belgrade Universiade, coming especially for the UU mascot.
Marina, a taekwondo competitor from Iran, said after visiting the exhibition, “I have never heard of Shenzhen City before, and never thought how beautiful the city is! I do wish to take part in the 2010 Games on behalf of my motherland.”
On entering the exhibition hall, Italian football coach team cheered, “UU, UU…”. The reason was they were all attracted by the UU emblem. It is known from Jun. 28 to Jul. 3, thousands of UU emblems were given out. Once a foreign guest brings his country’s emblem for exchange to the exhition stand, the working staff will adorn the UU emblem for him, and teach the guest how to write his Chinese name.
