Roch Campana, FISU Secretary General

FISU Secretary General Roch Campana was interviewed only a few hours later in his room after he took a long flight journey. Though a little bit tired Campana was humorous as ever. He emphasized his confidence in Shenzhen’s hosting of the 2011 Universiade and suggested that Shenzhen should learn from previous Universiades and the volunteers should master multi languages to have better service.

“Good housing facilities dining rooms and sports facilities like swimming pools are very important” said Campana. In addition he suggested that Shenzhen dispatch a delegation of observators to the upcoming Bangkok Universiade and the Belgrade Universiade in 2009 to have more experiences.

Campana was attracted to yesterday’s bilingual pages about Shenzhen’s prepartory work for the Universiade in Shenzhen Special Zone Daily. He praised such practice while frowning a little about the five-star logo of FISU. “The five stars should be in one line” Campana said three times with a smile. He also had his favorite among the candidate logo for the 2011 Universiade.

Talking about language Campana said for volunteers English was far from enough Spanish Abrabic German French and other languages should all be mastered to ensure better service.(刘思敏译)
