Chinese hurdler Liu Xiang didn’t make it to the International Olympic Committee’s Athletes’ Commission on Thursday.

Liu, the 2004 Olympic champion who pulled out of the 110m race injured on Monday, isn’t on the list of the newly-elected members, who are Russian swimming legend Alexander Popov, South Korean taekwondo star Moon Dae-sung, German fencer Claudia Bokel and Cuban volleyballer Yumilka Ruiz Luaces.
