Zhang Wen investigates Universiade Village and MOC
On the afternoon of January 5, Shenzhen Vice Mayor Zhang Wen came to Longgang District, paying an investigation at the Universiade Village, Main Operations Center (MOC) and Main Media Center (MMC). Vice President of the Universiade Executive Committee and Director-general of the Executive Office Liang Daoxing, Deputy Secretary-General of Shenzhen Municipal Government and Managing Deputy Director of the Executive Office Huang Guoqiang, Deputy Director of the Executive Office Ke Gangming, and leaders from Shenzhen Financial Committee, Longgang District government, Longgang Universiade office, Shenzhen Public Works Bureau, Shenzhen Municipal Government Procurement Center and the respective leaders of the Universiade Executive Office went together with Zhang.
On the Universiade Village construction site, Zhang Wen pointed out, at the 219 – day countdown to the Games, people in charge of the project should try to finish building ahead of schedule at the same time paying enough attention to construction quality. Longgang District government should support the construction, he required.
Later on, Zhang Wen visited the Technical Operations Center (TOC), PC Works and the Integrated Lab (ILAB), learning about issues such as games – time commanding, event monitoring and troubleshooting. At the MOC, Mr. Zhang even tried to use the video meeting system by himself and felt very satisfied with it. Zhang asked the staff to ensure the information safety by learning from the concluding Asian Games and doing the job with their feet firmly planted on the ground. Test work needs to be attached great importance to and a smooth flow of communications should be maintained in games time.
