The Universiade Executive Office signed an agreement with Italian reputed fashion brand ARMATA on the morning of December 23, announcing Armata Co., Ltd. to be the exclusive formal wear supplier for the Shenzhen 2011 Summer Universiade. Former Vice Governor of Guangdong province, Vice Chairperson of Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and Vice President of the Universiade Organizing Committee Xu Deli, full – time Deputy Directors of the Universiade Executive Office Zhao Guanghua and Ke Gangming, Member of Party Leadership Group of the Universiade Executive Office and Chief of the Human Resources Department Li Chaoqi and the Senior Advisor Li Nansheng attended the signing ceremony.

Li Chaoqi noted, as an Italian navy brand which resorts to marketing in navigational sports, Armata’s cooperation with the Universiade in Shenzhen, a seashore city, shows up the company’s unique perspective, and the brand’s vision and energy.

Armata, a thirty – year Italian brand, enjoys a high reputation in the international market. Since its arrival in China, Armata has sponsored the third China Cup International Regatta in 2009 and the Shenzhen “Dayun” sailing team. As told, it is going to design and make formal clothes for over 5,000 persons including the officials of the international organizations, officials of Chinese government, working staff of the Executive Office, coaches and technical officials coming to the Universiade to be held in Shenzhen, 2011. President of the Armata (Shenzhen) Training Co., Ltd. Zhang Liaochengdxu said the company will give it the best shot at the upcoming Universiade.

Besides, Armata arranged a show of the Universiade formal clothes candidate designs, through which they interpreted “beauty of Shenzhen”, “new quality of life” and “science – fashion and classic – modern”, which are inspiration elements and notions from the Universiade origin — Italy.
