Shenzhen to receive Asiad talents
Recently, Guangzhou embarked on the after – games emplacement of working staff for the Asiad Organizing Committee. On the afternoon of December 10, Ministry of Organization of Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee, together with Guangzhou Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security, Human Resources Department of the Asiad Organizing Committee, held a signing ceremony of a “strategic partner of Asiad talents” project.
Member of the Standing Committee of Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee and Head of Ministry of Organization Fang Xuan, as well as Vice Guangzhou Mayor and Managing Deputy Secretary – general of the Asiad Organizing Committee Xu Ruisheng attended the ceremony. More than 20 units including the Shenzhen Universiade Executive Office and Guangdong Branch of the China Mobile signed agreements with the Asiad Organizing Committee, becoming “gold strategic partners of Asiad talents”. Chief of Human Resources Department of the Universiade Executive Office Xiao Ming was present at the signing ceremony.
Fang Xuan noted, all together 446 staff members recruited from the society were working for the just concluding Asian Games. Carefully selected, they are mostly young and high – educated. Coming from all walks of life, they are foreign language proficient and familiar with international generic rules, which show their high overall qualities. They devoted themselves into the Guangzhou Asiad preparations, some of whom are middle and senior professional and technical personnel and some, returned from overseas. It was them who helped stage a high – level, spectacular Games. Since they are the scarcest human resources in Guangzhou’s construction of economic society, Fang Xuan reiterated we should resettle those Asiad staff satisfactorily, to show both leadership’s appreciation and appropriated direction of using talents. Fang Xuan required, meeting the economic society construction’s needs and unifying the thinking and understanding, every unit should pay enough attention to “strategic partners of Asiad talents”, to retain talents in support of the Asian Games eventually. When it comes to the 26th Summer Universiade to be held in Shenzhen next year, outstanding Asiad talents will not only add strength to the Executive Office, but also bring rich experience to the Games. Now the Executive Office has over 80 positions to offer to those Asiad talents in such areas as competition management, competition service, foreign affairs and protocol, venue operation, venue press center, venue media center, venue technical management, venue team building and materials handling. Likewise, Shenzhen also meets with the matter of staff emplacement when the Universiade ends in August, 2011, because three out of four personnel of the Executive Office is social – recruited. The after – games staff allocation began in early 2009, and now can be seen in the agreement between the Executive Office and Skyworth Group. Moreover, the Human Resources Department is contacting other enterprises actively.
