Sony to be Universiade exclusive supplier
Sony (China) Co., Ltd. and the Executive Office of the Shenzhen 26th Summer Universiade Organizing Committee held a signing ceremony to announce Sony the exclusive supplier of the Universiade, September 17. Vice President of the Executive Committee and Director-general of the Universiade Executive Office Liang Daoxing, Deputy Directors of the Executive Office Zhao Guanghua and Ke Gangming, Member of the Executive Office Leading Party Group and Chief of the Human Resources Department Li Chaoqi, Consultant of the Executive Office Li Nansheng, chiefs of respective Executive Office departments and Vice – President of Sony (China) Professional Systems Group attended the signing ceremony.
The 2011 Universiade will be the largest scale sports event ever staged in Shenzhen, with nearly 20,000 athletes, referees and coaches more than 100,000 volunteers and security staff, and many venues. So far, the Universiade Executive Office has signed partnership agreements with companies specializing in different fields, such as China Merchants Bank, China Southern Power Grid, China Telecom, China Ping An Insurance, etc. According to the one Sony signed with the Universiade, as an exclusive supplier of TV broadcast equipments for the Universiade, Sony is going to offer overall radio and TV products and services.
Vice Chairperson of the Executive Committee and Director-general of the Universiade Executive Office Liang Daoxing and Vice – President of Sony (China) professional systems group attended the signing ceremony and started the signing ceremony together. Afterwards, Deputy Director Zhao Guanghua and Vice – President of Sony (China) professional systems group delivered their speeches at the ceremony. Mr. Zhao said it is of importance to have Sony’s participation in the Universiade. He believed, with Sony’s top – notch high-definition products, technological advantages and deep service experience, it is bound to render good services to satisfy all the athletes and viewers at the future Universiade.
As told, Sony is to provide the Universiade with the following broadcast services: purchasing, leasing, and system integration and installation services of professional broadcast television cameras, video recorders and a studio system composed of EFP, broadcast vehicles and studios, and a network for nonlinear editing system. Additionally, not only will it supply purchasing, leasing and system integration and installation services of large projection presentation equipments and 3D filming and production, but also it takes charge of professional technical support and maintenance for the radio and TV production equipments which the Universiade requires.
