To promote the image of Shenzhen and the Shenzhen 26th Summer Universiade while demonstrating the achievements in the economic and social development of Shenzhen as well as China, the Executive Board for Shenzhen 26th Summer Universiade (hereinafter Executive Board) will solicit slogans for the Games. Related matters are hereby announced as follows:
I. Duration
The solicitation starts on October 18, 2007 and will end on December 31, 2007.
II. Specific Requirements
1. To reflect internationalization, Chinese characteristics and feature an open, magnanimous migrant city of Shenzhen.
2. To reflect the concept of “Innovation and Future” of this Universiade, emphasize the main theme of a “Young city and harmonious gala” and depict the characteristics of ambitious and passionate university students.
3. A brief interpretation of the slogan is a must.
III. Selection process
The Executive Office of Organizing Committee for the 26th Summer Universiade Shenzhen (hereinafter Executive Office) will invite experts to screen, evaluate and select 10 excellent slogans out of all solicited. The Executive Board will finally choose one as the slogan for the Games.
IV. Submission process
1. Submitters who send the candidate slogans by mails may download and print the Participation Form for Soliciting Slogans for the 26th Summer Universiade from the official website of the Games ( www.sz2011.org) and fill in the form then mail to: Culture Activity Department of the Executive Office of the Organizing Committee for Shenzhen 26th Summer Universiade, 10th Floor, Office Building, Great China International Exchange Square, Fuhuayilu Road, Futian District, Shenzhen, 518026
2. For submitters who send the candidate slogans by email, please fill in the form according to related requirements and send them to [email protected] in attachment.
V. Honors and Rewards
The Executive Board will publish the final results in certain media. The author whose candidate slogan is selected will be conferred the honorary certificate and a bonus of 30,000 yuan; authors of the rest nine slogans will get the honorary certificates and a bonus of 3,000 yuan each. Their slogans will be used in various occasions of the Games.
VI. Others
All disputes arising from this activity shall be governed by the law of the People’s Republic of China. The Organizing Committee for Shenzhen 26th Summer Universiade (hereafter “Organizing Committee”) reserves the final interpretation right for this activity.

1. It is a necessary procedure for submitting the candidate slogan to fill in the Participation Form for Soliciting Slogans for the 26th Summer Universiade (hereinafter the form). The information filled in the form should be conformed to the fact. During the process of solicitation, any discovery of mismatching of related information and fact will lead to the invalidity of the submitted slogan.
2. During the related work of the activity, the Executive Board is entitled to use any information in the form submitted.
3. According to the notice on solicitation and the “borderless” feature of the Internet, all activities including the issues of the form and the instruction on filling the form, the filling of the form by the submitters and sending the form to the Executive Office and other related activities are considered as happening within the border of China.
4. Submitted slogan should be written in the form. Once it is submitted, the slogan is owned by the Organizing Committee.
5. The form can be downloaded from the official website of the 26th Summer Universiade www.sz2011.org. Printed and duplicated forms are valid.

As the original creator of the candidate slogan, I make the following commitment to the Organizing Committee of Shenzhen Universiade: 1) The candidate slogan, submitted to the Executive Office for participating the soliciting of slogans for the Shenzhen 26th Summer Universiade, is independently completed by myself. I have the copyright to the candidate slogan. 2) Since the day of submission of the candidate slogan, I have once-for-all and exclusively transferred the copyright of the candidate slogan and all related derived rights to the Organizing Committee gratuitously. In case that according to related regulations, the copyright and part of the related derived rights of the candidate slogan are not transferable, I promise to exclusively give the handling right of such rights to the Organizing Committee. 3) Once the candidate slogan I submitted has become the selected work of the solicitation activity of the 26th Summer Universiade, Shenzhen, I will not withdraw at any time the commitment I make in this statement and will sign related agreement with the Organizing Committee at its request. |
