July 7 Belgrade time, the reporter happened to meet Liang Qin in the University Village, one of the National rhythmic gymnastics coaches, who used to be in the Shenzhen Sports Team. She is the coach of Li Hongyang, a rhythmic gymnast, who is strong to carry off golden medals in the Belgrade Universiade.
On seeing the reporter, Liang Qin said in Cantonese, “Don’t you know I am a native Shenzhener?” She went on to tell the reporter, “I was a gymnast for as long as 15 years, after that, I have been a coach for another 12 years. I’ve got rich life and coaching experience by participating in various large-sized international events. In the Bangkok Universiade and the World Championships, my students scored great achievements. I expect Li Hongyang can claim a title of champion in the Belgrade Universiade.” When asked about her hope for Unversiade Shenzhen 2011, Liang said, “I see the effort and endeavor of the Organizing Committee, and the Shenzhen Municipal Government’s vigorous supports of the Games. I am convinced the Shenzhen Universiade wil be the top one in FISU history, and I do want my students to win as many gold medals as they can in our country.”
