TWO Shenzhen companies were among the top-10 Best Employers in China, according to the results of a survey by a major mainland recruitment agency released in Beijing on Friday.
Huawei Technologies and China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group were voted by more than 210,000 jobseekers during a period from November to April 15 as the Best Employers of the Year.
Chinahr.com, one of the most influential job agencies in China, has polled more than 210,000 jobseekers across China, including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, during the low ebb of the economic downturn. The top 10 companies were favored for high salaries and good career development opportunities they offered, according to Chinahr.com.
Four other local companies – ZTE Corp., Tencent Technology, China Merchants Bank and Vanke Co. Ltd. – were among the top 50 in the survey. The Shenzhen-headquartered American retail giant Wal-Mart was also in the top-50 Best Employers.
Huawei Technologies is the country’s largest networking and telecommunications equipment supplier set up in 1988 in Shenzhen. It serves 35 of the top 50 telecom operators worldwide.
China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group was set up in September 1994 in Daya Bay, Longgang District. It is one of the nation’s largest nuclear power stations.
China Mobile, the largest mobile phone operator in the world by subscribers, topped the list. (Wei Jie)
