大运官网讯 据瑞典广播电台１日报道，瑞典准备与挪威联合申办２０１６年欧洲足球锦标赛。 瑞典足球协会秘书长赫尔斯特勒默说，瑞典和挪威计划在今年秋天向欧洲足联递交２０１６年欧锦赛的联合申办书。他认为，２０１６年欧锦赛参赛队伍从１６个增加到２４个，对两国举办比赛来说不会造成困难。如果申办成功，瑞典和挪威将分别启用４个足球场。 瑞典曾经在１９９２年举办过欧锦赛，当时的参赛队伍共有８支。但挪威以前从未举办过大型足球比赛。据悉，法国也宣布要参加申办２０１６年欧锦赛的角逐。 进入２１世纪后，由两国联合承办的欧锦赛迅速增加。比利时和荷兰举办了２０００年欧锦赛，今年的欧锦赛则由奥地利和瑞士联合承办，下届欧锦赛同样由两个国家联合举办。（记者 和苗）
