AFTER three days of competition, the Australian boat Quantum, racing in the Sports Boat Class, was awarded the inaugural China Cup for the International Regatta (CCIR) at the grand closing ceremony Sunday.
Although the Australian boat came in second in the race from Hong Kong to Shenzhen on Saturday, it was first in the inshore windward and leeward racing on Daya Bay consecutively Saturday and Sunday, eventually surpassing the Hong Kong boat Jelik, the first place winner in theHonk Kong-Shenzhen race.
